My work spans many disciplines and is done in a diverse palette of materials. Each of my projects is researched thoroughly through my own extensive and eclectic resources.

I have many years of designing and painting murals both on canvas  and

on-site. Projects vary from formal dining room scenes to Chinoiseries to children's nurseries.  I work as well in many different  finishes both traditional and new including stenciling, gilding, faux bois, marbleizing,  trompe l'oiel,

​WALLPAPERS​





My bespoke wallpapers are designed for a specific purpose or room.   This allows me  to  balance design elements of the paper to enhance a particular room or decorative ambience.  I have done traditional papers as well as larger scale and a bit wilder modern designs.

 

I have also done extensive repairs and

preservation of old Chinoiserie papers

such as Gracie Papers.  It is gratifying to restore a wallpapered room by gently blending damaged areas with the whole.



 

 

​EGLOMISE
​



Verre Eglomise is the decorative art

of reverse gilding and painting on glass.

It owes it's name to the French picture

framer Jean-Baptist Glomy.  It is an old

technique revived at different periods

of history.



The method is lovely used either on a

mirrored table or on glass panels in

conjunction with the decorative scheme

of a room.  The painted and/or gilded

glass may be backed by an applied

mirroring process or be left clear to

showcase the backdrop of the room
